Construction on a new fitness and training centre for Hamilton Boys High School.
The new facility is being built adjacent to and integrated with the existing gym. In the hope of attracting more international basketball fixtures, it will house basketball courts with associated lighting that meets international standards. The main gym will also feature a sprung sports floor and mechanically operated bleachers which can be folded away.
The changing room area will be constructed almost entirely of pre-cast concrete panels with all services, including piping for showers, being cast into the concrete panels at the time of manufacture. The external building will also be constructed mostly of pre-cast concrete with a highly figured architectural finish cast into the façade.
