New World, Remuera

  • Division: Interiors
  • Location: Auckland
  • Started: January 2009
  • Cost: $8.9 million
  • Client: Foodstuffs Auckland
  • Completed: Under Construction

Extensive refurbishment and extension to New World Remuera.

Due to the store remaining open throughout works, the project is staged into eight areas - as one area is complete the store can move stock around to free up the next area requiring work.

The store is being extended about 6m forwards and 8m to one side, together with a full internal refurbishment, new roof, and car park resurface. Extensions were designed to accommodate a puriri tree at the front of the store that holds the highest level of protection available for trees (because it's only found in New Zealand).
