  • Cost: $13 million

Construction of a New World supermarket in New Lynn.

The building has a gross floor area of approximately 3,800m2 including the main retail floor, ground floor storage, inwards goods and mezzanine staff and administration facilities. The back-of-house will feature a bakery, deli, seafood, butchery and freezer and cool room facilities. The project also includes extensive customer parking and requires the creation of a new entrance road off Clark Street into the site, including a new intersection with traffic lights.

Steel portals with pre-cast concrete walls provide the primary structure. All floors are in-situ concrete, both for ground and mezzanine. Extensive glass walls are featured in the entry area and the east and west elevations have brick veneer feature walls. The building is topped off by a profiled metal roof and has feature sections of profiled metal wall cladding.
