Clearway Awards 2026 Site Champion of the Year
Congratulations to Ngauwu “Avu” Nuuausala on being named the Site Champion of the Year category at the Clearway Awards 2026. Organised by the Temporary Traffic Management Industry Steering Group (TTM-ISG), the awards celebrate the people, projects and organisations driving excellence across New Zealand’s transport corridor sector.
Anyone who has worked with Avu knows this recognition is thoroughly deserved. As a Traffic Supervisor on the Eastern Busway Alliance project, he leads complex nightshift traffic management operations while always making time to support, mentor and develop those around him.
Known for leading by example, sharing his knowledge and helping others succeed, Avu has helped 12 people progress from entry-level roles to become qualified Site Traffic Management Supervisors, building capability across both the project and the wider industry.
The Site Champion of the Year award recognises frontline people who make a real difference through their leadership, professionalism and commitment to achieving better outcomes on site. Avu embodies those qualities every day, earning the respect of his colleagues and leaving a lasting impact on the people he works with.
