We’re up for the top award, and our amazing wahine are finalists in six categories in this year’s NAWIC Excellence Awards.

We are vying for the Helen Tippet Award, which celebrates achievements in advancing and furthering the interests of women in the construction industry. As a finalist in the premier category, Fletcher Construction is being recognised for the work we’ve been doing over the past few years to become a more diverse and inclusive workforce.

Hello Period (photo) is one initiative we have done to support our women in construction with accessibility of reusable menstrual products, fully funded by the business.

We also have individual finalists in six categories. Congratulations to Higgins’ Pam Haa, Outstanding Leader of the Year - Site Award; Juana West, Excellence in Health, Safety & Wellbeing Award; Dayna Bailey, Specialist Plant & Machinery Operators Excellence Award; Corrina Marunui, Apprentice Excellence Award; and to BPC’s Amanda Byrne, Excellence in Construction Organisation – Office Award; and Rachel Duncan, Student Excellence Award.

Winners will be announced during the NAWIC Awards Gala Dinner on July 25 at the Cordis Hotel in Auckland.
