Having worked in the roading industry for the past four years, Topaz has graduated from operating a stop/go paddle to leading a team protecting worksites and managing traffic at a variety of different infrastructure projects. She holds a Class 2 license, which allows her to drive the variety of vehicles the team use, and continues to look for opportunities to grow her skillset.

A natural leader and mentor, one of the biggest highlights of the job for Topaz is training up members of her crew through to sitting their qualifications and progressing through to leading traffic management their own project site. She describes her team as being like her family, given how much time they spend together.

As someone who entered the industry just looking to earn some money, Topaz shows that once you find your passion and then take your opportunities, anything is possible.
