Will Adams

Senior Site Engineer
Will Adams’ graduate programme with Brian Perry Civil started on the $145 million Waikato50 project during the unprecedented drought of 2020.

“I was thrown in the deep-end on the fast-paced, large-scale project where time was of the essence to build resilience into the water network. My options were sink, or swim,” Will says.

Will rose to the challenge as a graduate site engineer and thrived.

“A lot of it came down to the team around me. We all had the same goal in mind and the culture was one of everyone working together to get the job done,” he says. “The great part about it was I was learning on-the-job by doing, not just by shadowing other people.

Now a senior site engineer, BPC offers an abundance of opportunity for keen engineers, he says.

“Virtually any direction you want to take, BPC can support you. I want to be site-based and project manage, but I know others who want to design, and BPC can offer that.”

Will’s busy professional life is matched with an equally busy home life as a recently married father who built his own house over the weekends while working full time in 2022.
