Higgins and Ministry of Social Development partner to provide meaningful work
Higgins has been working closely with the Ministry of Social Development to find meaningful work for people around the motu.
Our teams are working with the MSD Jobs and Skills Hubs which were set up to prepare people of any age for work in construction and infrastructure projects.
In Hawke’s Bay, this partnership has seen Recruitment Facilitator Awhina Hungahunga working closely with our Traffic Manager Michael McLeod. Together, they have been finding work for people who are keen to contribute to our vital services - but might need some help getting started.
